The Heavy Equipment Colleges of America in Modesto, CA was founded in June of 2007 with three levels of training to help individuals learn the skills needed to work in the heavy equipment operations industry. Shortly after it was founded, the school became an accredited training facility as well as an approved testing site by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). Today, the Northern California Campus stands as an exemplary facility of higher learning when it comes to the skilled trades that are so in demand in today’s society.

  Programs Offered

Our primary goal is to help you prepare for a new career in heavy equipment operations. With that in mind, we aim to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and credentials needed to find a steady and reliable job. We do this by offering four programs dedicated to giving you a solid foundation upon which we can add increasingly advanced skills. These include:

  • Heavy Equipment Operations Level One
  • Heavy Equipment Operations Level Two
  • Mobile Crane Operations

Once you have completed your training at our college, you will be eligible for a number of different jobs in the construction industry, as well as aggregate industries. This includes jobs in:

  • Crane Operation

  • Site Management and Preparation
  • Underground and Utilities

  • Road Construction
  • Trenching
  • Residential and Commercial Construction
